My little Chateau – The Shabby Chic Sitting Room

This next space is a blended shabby chic look with modern for the ultimate mix of my favorite pieces. With an overarching white theme, and romantic little details making this space thus far, my favorite spot to be.

Featuring the comfiest sofa, the Ava by Grandin Road. Find that here. The Ava features slipcovers that make it so that stains will glide right off and seating that’ll have you feeling as though your sitting on a cloud. The Ava is available in multiple designs and colors at Grandin Road.

The moulding on the wall is that of Luxe architectural . You can put these on your walls with ease and take them back down when it’s time to move or if you’d like to try something different. For this look, we combined their 9 piece moulding kit with chair rail from home depot. You might also notice that we switched the panels around a bit from what you’ll see at the store, to get a more customized look.

Shop the moulding kit here.

Another favorite of mine here are these gorgeous white chairs by Safavieh to compliment the space and add more seating. They remind me of lovely little clouds and really bring a more modern look to the room along with the coffee table. You can shop the white chairs here.

I also have a beautiful Safavieh black flower style ottoman to share with you. The flower shape with the tassel combo is just everything. I really wish it were available in white but unfortunately it only comes in the darker colors. I added it to my wishlist to see if it would be a good alternative for switching out the coffee table with from time to time to mix things up. It’s such a beautiful piece however, it deserves to be a constant focal point of any space. You can shop the ottoman here

This about sums up the progress of the room so far. I haven’t gone in to great detail as to where every single piece is from since some are antique finds. The mirror and French table in the corner being among that lot will be painted white very soon, in case you were wondering. I also see the long term goals of this room falling more in the shabby chic and less modern. Ideally I would love to replace the modern pieces with French antiques and play with a color palette that’s more heavenly white. We shall see..

In the next few days I’ll be back on Insta & the blog here to show you the progress of the bedroom so far so stay tuned.
