Make Up Must-Haves For A Soft-Feminine Look

Make Up Must-Haves For A Soft-Feminine Look

My normal makeup regime is all about a soft & elegant look & thought now would be the perfect time to share my make up must-haves for a soft-feminine look.

I’m always looking to try new beauty products but find it a challenge to narrow down what to actually try with all of the different products out there! So since I have actually found some gems, I’d like to save you some hassle and share them with you to help narrow down your search for the ultimate makeup products!

I like to go for a look that doesn’t necessarily scream I’M WEARING TOO MUCH MAKEUP! It’s still a look that uses makeup so of course it doesn’t look makeup free. If this is a look you happen to like as well or have yet to achieve, you’ve come to just the right place because I have some great products to suggest for you to try!

Primer & Foundation

You’ll want to start with just the right primer and foundation. My go-tos currently are Smashbox ‘Photo Finish’ Foundation Primer SPF 20 with Dermaxyl™ Complex • Smashbox • $42 for the primer and

Dior ‘Diorskin Nude’ Glowing Makeup SPF 15 • Christian Dior • $50 for the foundation. I really like the Dior foundation because it gives me a non-cakey look and also adds a bit of a glow without having to add anything else. I also use large domed stippling brush found here from Sephora, to apply the foundation. I find using this type of brush is good if your going for a more air-brushed look. Now don’t quote me it won’t look perfectly air-brushed when finished but it will give you a look that’s closer to that!

Concealer

Next you’ll want to add a little concealer right under your eyes [ remember to lightly dab it in really fast!] and also add some concealer to any blemishes you may want to hide. After that I go over the spots where I added concealer with the MAC Studio Fix Powder {MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation C3 • M·A·C • $36.99}. I do this step because I find that it keeps my concealer from smearing/smudging. Now for the concealers, I switch back and forth between either of these MAC favorites,

M·A·C Select Cover Up • M·A·C • $19
M·A·C ‘Pro Longwear’ Concealer • M·A·C • $20

Foundation

This step you could possibly do without but it’s a little something I picked when watching one of Shaaanxo’s  make-up tutorial Videos and since then I’ve stuck with it.

So what I do is I get the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation C3 • M·A·C • $41.50, and then I lightly press this to where I had previously put the concealer. By doing this little trick, I find that it prevents the concealer beneath my eyes from getting imprints from my mascara and eyeliner throughout the day. So you may not actually need to do this step but it helps me.

Blush

Next, I like to add a little bit of blush from the Too-Faced No Makeup Makeup palette. It comes with a nice little combination of bronzer, blush, and a few shimmer creams to give a glow.

Too Faced The Secret to No Makeup Makeup Fresh and Flawless Face Palette, 0.65 Ounce • Too Faced • $39

Along with Too Faced’s Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo • Too Faced • $30

I really do love a glowing look if you can’t tell by now!

Eye Shadow

Choosing the right eyeshadow is an essential when it comes to having the right  make up must-haves for a soft-feminine look.
My eyeshadow musts and go-tos are always the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. I love the neutral shades, because I really like the very light more natural eyeshadow look, and these palettes are perfect for achieving that type of look!
I know they may seem pricey initially, but I find they last me quite awhile. If you find that you only like one or two shades from the palettes, you can just by them individually at Sephora, and save that way!
Urban Decay ‘Naked3’ Palette • Urban Decay • $54
Urban Decay ‘Naked’ Palette • Urban Decay • $54
Urban Decay ‘Naked2’ Palette • Urban Decay • $54

Eyeliner & Mascara

For the eyeliner, another favorite of mine is an Urban Decay product as well! And I finish the whole ensemble off with my absolute favorite mascara, which happens to be a Too-Faced product.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara • Too Faced • $23
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil • Urban Decay • $20
