We all have a style favorite when it comes to our wardrobes. These favorites can range from having bows on just about everything, polka dots on our purses and dresses, or even a huge selection of little black dresses because we all know just how chic and timeless they can be.
My style obsession just so happens to be collars on dresses & blouses! Especially the peter pan collar styles. I just LOVE this look and to the point that it’s truly an obsession!
I can’t even begin to tell you how many tops there are in my wardrobe right now with a collar.
They are just such an incredibly cute style!
However, I am not crazy for ALL things will a collar, take dress shirts for example, which are so not my thing.
This darling lace dress is the perfect example of how cute collared dresses can be!
The lace details mixed with the gorgeous pop of blue ( which is just the perfect shade of blue I must add) is just divine!
The dress has a tad bit of a seventies feel to it especially when you notice the bell sleeves and another thing I must confess, I am so not a fan of the seventies fashion!
Which kind of sucks right now because the seventies are so clearly in, especially in the fashion world but then again it actually doesn’t suck for me and I’ll tell you why..
The way that I style myself and the kind of clothes that I select for my wardrobe, opens my wardrobe up to so many possibilities and keeps my wardrobe out of the way of scrutiny with the current trends because I opt for dresses that are feminine yet have a classic with an elegant look.
This kind of style can have small details of what’s trending at the moment added to them but overall it’s a timeless style! And I must say it’s so incredibly flattering on so many different kinds of body types too!
How great would it feel to have a clear vision of your personal style and also not feel like you have to compete with what’s in or what’s currently trending?
Seriously this isn’t something you should worry about or be a slave too either!
You want your wardrobe to work for you, not drive you crazy! By really evaluating your personal style and refining your wardrobe ( whether you choose to work with me or alone!) will help your image and the way that you also feel about your image, TREMENDOUSLY!
Now back to this dress! Like I said it has a hint of a seventies feel to it, which is also my way of incorporating a little bit of what’s currently in right now into my personal style, but overall this dress is so my style with the classic lace and my style obsession, that collar with a pop of color!
You can do the same with your wardrobe as well! Keep up with whats new but don’t let it control or dictate your personal style and your wardrobe.
I want to know what’s your style obsession confession?!
